Alert Engineering was founded in 1973 by Allan Lewis as a one man general engineering shop, with hard work and dedication to customer service , giving customers "what they want on time". Alert has grown steadily with a hand picked highly skilled workforce of over 20, including our own in-house design engineers, CAD/CAM Programmers, CNC Operators, Qualified and Certificated Welders, Hydraulic Service Technicians and many more.
In the early years the type of work coming through the door seemed to be more of an industrial nature with refuse and metal recycling equipment becoming more important as the years rolled on. Now more than 35 years on Alert Engineering is the largest manufacturer scrap metal recycling equipment in the southern hemisphere. and its machinery is respected world wide for unequaled quality and durability.
The Alert Engineering offices and workshop are located in Auckland, New Zealand with more than 33,000 square feet floor space, Our well equipt workshop boasts 5 Overhead Cranes. CNC Profile cutters, Lathe and Machining Centre along with a full array of centre lathes, mills, drills, grinders, welders and paint booth. Ensuring most things can be done in house.
Also under the Alert Engineering umbrella is Alert Motorsport a dedicated MotorSport Components outlet and showroom located close by.
