Lindemann EtaBriq briquette press
Lindemann EtaBriq briquette press
The Lindemann Eta®Briq briquetting press reliably processes metal chips and grinding dust into high-density briquettes. With the aid of the Lindemann Eta®Briq, metal scraps from steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals and metal mixtures become recyclable and can be returned to the material flow. The briquetting press makes waste disposal more efficient. During the pressing process, emulsions and oils are extracted for subsequent recycling. Because the briquettes are compact, melting losses are reduced to a minimum and storage and transport costs are significantly lowered.
Applications
The Lindemann Eta®Briq briquetting press processes nearly all types of metal chips, supporting a variety of applications. The tool diameter, and thus the briquette diameter, will be individually adapted to the feed material to achieve a good balance of density, strength, and throughput capacity. The double-acting briquette compaction is a key feature of the Lindemann Eta®Briq. The double-acting compaction minimizes friction losses and increases briquette density, resulting in improved transfer stability and quality of the briquettes.
The metal briquettes produced have a very high density and are very well suited for remelting in cupola and induction furnaces. Length and density of the briquettes can be adjusted by the operator, though they also depend on the feeding density of the chip material, as well as its mechanical properties.
Features
Double-sided pressing
Due to the unique Metso Recycling double-sided pressing technology, the Lindemann Eta®Briq produces superior high-density briquettes.
Closed system of forces and pre-stressed tension rods
The connection between the cylinder traverses is provided by pre-stressed tie-rods, which keep the cylinder forces that arise within the confines of the machine. The closed system of forces keeps most of the dynamic loads inside, so that the foundation is nearly unaffected by them.
Non-contact position measurement
The non-contact position measuring system, integrated in the hydraulic cylinders, makes downtime caused by dirt or mechanical damage to proximity switches a thing of the past. The non-contact position measuring system allows optimum motion control of all cylinders.
Flexible briquette length and density
The briquette length and density can be flexibly adapted to the feedstock and the end customer's requirements.
Lindemann solution - optional spraying device
Highly efficient tool lubrication via short-blast injection valves
Non-contact position measurement
The non-contact position measuring system allows optimum motion control of all cylinders.
Oil-level monitoring
The electronic oil-level monitoring system detects even the smallest oil losses at an early stage and reports them on the display.
Complete processing lines
Metso can supply more than just briquetting machines - we can deliver tailor -made solutions for turnings and chips processing applications consisting of: Lindemann Eta®Crush turning crushers, chip storage (bunkers), transport (scraper and steel belt conveyors), screening (vibrating and drum screens) and centrifuging solutions, and of course the Lindemann Eta®Briq briquetting press.
Human Machine Interface (HMI) visualization
A multi-functional terminal supports operations and any troubleshooting that may be needed. The terminal consists of a large display that shows all process-relevant information and status reports, and a number of control elements arranged in a user-friendly layout.
