The Lindemann Power®Cut metal scrap shear is the perfect machine for the mid-size scrap yard or mid-size capacity needs for shearing medium-heavy, bulky mixed steel scrap.  The Lindemann Power®Cut is the perfect machine for light and medium-heavy mixed and bulky scrap.

The side compactor and press lid of the Lindemann Power®Cut operates with a large overstroke. The shears compact the scrap into a log that is narrower and lower than the shear opening, which reduces wear on the opening and wear plates, minimizes the force required, and prevents jamming.

Precise cutting

A breaker bar applies forces to brittle material so that it breaks even before making contact with the upper blade. This results in a considerable reduction in wear and in the shearing force required.

Easy blade service

A hydraulic blade tensioning device, available as option with online monitoring, can reduce downtime by half when changing blades. The PLC system allows effective monitoring of the hydraulic system to detect even the smallest leaks and defects at an early stage.

Precise controls

Position monitoring is provided by non-contact sensors that are easier to service than conventional proximity switches. Integrated position measuring systems are used in the stamper and shear cylinder, as well as in the lid and side compression cylinders. The pusher cylinder is monitored by a protected laser system. This constant monitoring guarantees the precision of the pressing and cutting processes.

Intelligent hydraulic management

A single control block for the entire machine harmonizes the cutting process and is less prone to faults. The combination of high and low pressure pumps incorporating an optimized switching sequence results in faster working cycles and reduced installed driving power. All high pressure pipes are bent instead of being welded, as is otherwise typical, so that flow losses are minimized and weak points which could result in leaks are avoided.

The control system switchgear, together with the electric or diesel drive, is installed in a container. A separate pump room is, therefore, redundant and the most critical and valuable parts of the machine are protected from falling pieces of scrap.
